It is a work of historical fiction mainly set in the New York City area from 1902 until 1912. If you can't make her out visually, you certainly won't miss her voice, even in Hebrew! It's simple yet so purely evocative of the turn of the 20th Century - and it's a distinctively "Randy Newman" theme, when you think about it compared to his repertoire. Elizabeth McGovern's Evelyn is a somewhat dizzy character with moments of brilliance, making her quite intriguing to watch.
