It is a difficult film where more than justice hangs in the balance. . During a courtroom scene, Eileen Roarke Sandra Bullock, in asurprisingly small role for having top billing helps Brigance to get the trialmoved to another town. But he did a great job and made the movie more entertaining than the book. I guess when people are starved for good drama they'll settle for this. Grisham should simply be honest enough to recognize that he does the same things he says Stone shouldn't do.
