Good burger movie review Rating:
Good Burger is a 1997 comedy film that was released by Nickelodeon Movies and Paramount Pictures. The film was directed by Brian Robbins and stars Kel Mitchell and Kenan Thompson, who were also the stars of the popular Nickelodeon television series All That.
The plot of Good Burger revolves around two fast food workers, Dexter Reed (played by Mitchell) and Ed (played by Thompson). Ed is a slacker who works at the titular Good Burger, a small fast food restaurant in a strip mall. Dexter is a high school student who is trying to earn enough money to buy a car. When the Mondo Burger, a larger and more successful fast food chain, opens up across the street from Good Burger, the two friends must come up with a plan to save their small business.
One of the main themes of Good Burger is the importance of hard work and determination. Dexter and Ed are initially unsuccessful in their efforts to save Good Burger, but they eventually come up with a creative solution that allows them to compete with Mondo Burger. This message is delivered in a light-hearted and humorous manner, making it enjoyable for both children and adults.
Good Burger is a classic comedy that will appeal to fans of silly and absurd humor. The film's humor is often over-the-top and exaggerated, and there are several memorable and hilarious moments throughout. Kel Mitchell and Kenan Thompson have great chemistry together, and their performances are a highlight of the film.
Overall, Good Burger is a fun and entertaining film that is perfect for a family movie night. It is a nostalgicically enjoyable watch for those who grew up with the All That television show, and it is a great introduction to the work of Kel Mitchell and Kenan Thompson for younger audiences.
Good Burger movie review & film summary (1997)
Although Kenan and Kel hold the movie together there are some nice guest appearances with Linda Cardellini being the stand out. Dexter discovers that Ed has created his own special sauce. My rating of this 1997 movie from writers Dan Schneider, Kevin Kopelow and Heath Seifert lands on a six out of ten stars. Instead, the girls barely notice his presence and Sammy regresses into a state of isolation and dread. . .
The sauce is a hit and puts good burger back in business and crushing Mondo burger. This movie cooks up a similar situation. But then he gets a job with Good Burger, and Mondo Burger opens, which threatens to put Good Burger out of business. . When I sit back in my chair and reminisce about cinema at its best I think of Casablanca, Lawrence of Arabia, The Godfather, Citizen Cane, and Gone With the Wind. This is nothing but a film for the kids.
The comedy is usually silly, and - in keeping with the fare served up at these busy counters - often tasteless. On his last day of school, while driving without a license, he crashes into Mr. They split up, went their separate ways, and very quietly release new films to the public. . His plans drastically change, when he crosses paths with dim-witted teen, Ed Mitchell.
It's a feeling that transcends all the cultural norms and traditions of today, a feeling that is so much more lasting and fulfilling, one that is undeniable to even the most critical of movie-goers. Some people don't get it, and others don't like it. The story follows Ed, an employee of Good Burger, home of the Good Burger. I don't like Mondo's broadly villainous style. Ed comes up with his own sauce which becomes a big hit. .
Why The Bob's Burgers Movie Reviews Are So Positive
Then a crisis strikes: A gargantuan Mondo Burger stand is opened right across the street. Meanwhile, Dexter Kenan Thompson , a former Mondo employee, gets a job at Good Burger when Ed befriends him. I'm giving it two stars. Today at Double Toasted we have our Good burger review for you to enjoy. Even if its juvenile humor doesn't strike you as particularly hilarious, it's entertaining, and more importantly, its heart is in the right place. Related: The film adaptation of Bob's Burgers was initially announced in 2017 and was set to be released on July 17, 2020.
Here I am reviewing a movie from 1997 and I normally don't review movies before the 2000s, but Good Burger was laugh out loud belly laugh. One day after work Dexter sees Ed on his rollerblades it sparks his memory of Ed riding in front of his car, this sets Dexter off into a rage that unleashes upon Ed. Brian robbins and Dan schneider really did create a very good nickelodeon masterpiece but i must say i am very disappointed with the ratings being low because this is the ultimate adolescent comedy movie. Good Burger is the most popular place in town to eat. It actually almost made my top ten list of my all-time favorite comedy films! Good Burger was based off of a skit on the sketch-comedy series All That which, to put simplistically, is Nickelodeon's Saturday Night Live. The cool thing is, that it took a simple sketch and then turned it into a 90 minute movie! I always like these actors. Ponyboy and Johnny run away to escape the law, and to do so go to their friend Dally for help.
"Double Toasted" GOOD BURGER BAD MOVIE REVIEW (Podcast Episode 2021)
Good Burger does this and so much more. Sinbad, as an Afro-heavy 70s throwback, does his best to elevate things, but this stodge is beyond help. Kenana and Kel bring something to the screen that even the likes of Deniro and Nickleson can only begin to aspire to. It didn't do much for me, but I am prepared to predict that its target audience will have a good time. He had to work 4 years to pay all these debts.
The World I've always considered myself a chick flick or romantic comedy kind of girl. Hearing the shattering glass the other goonies come over to what the fuss is about. After crashing his mother's car, Dexter Kenan Thompson needs a job, so first he tries the new Mondo Burger, opening across the street from Good Burger. Not a film to be taken seriously, just a time passer if you want to kill an hour and a half without thinking too much. But you have to love Keenen and Kel, they were a Nickelodeon staple. I guarantee that you'll laugh like you've never laughed before. It's goofy but like I said it's a kids movie, what do you expect? Sammy imagines the girls graciously rewarding him for his grandiose gesture in the store.
