God was there where he was sitting in the previous stanza, beside a river and on the side of a hill. Maganda ang pagkakaayos ng buhok ng dáma. I know, this is like comparing apples to oranges, but you get the general drift of this idea. It was injected in the poem in an innovative and poetic way. Man clarifies his intention, by explainig that he desires nothing but to discover the concept of God, out of curiousity. One day, he felt it was necessary for starting the process as he could not tolerate the loneliness anymore.

He wants us to make our own decisions, based on the Bible, not on what other people say. .
